We're a small crew of guitarists, ukulele players, and late-night bedroom producers who got tired of juggling five different apps just to get through one practice session. Chicord Sound started as a tuner built for our own rehearsals and grew into a full toolkit once we saw every player around us carrying the same drawer full of half-working apps.
Our mission is simple: put every tool a string player actually reaches for — tuning, chords, tabs, theory — behind one clean interface. No hunting through menus mid-practice, no switching apps between tuning up and looking up a chord shape.

Chicord Sound was built on one simple rule: what happens on your device stays on your device. No accounts, no servers, no hidden data collection — just a tuner and a chord book that work entirely offline. Here's exactly how that works.
Information We Collect
We collect nothing. There are no accounts, sign-ups, names, email addresses, or location requests. Every tuning session, chord lookup, scanned tab, and practice note stays inside the app on your own device.
How We Use Information
Because none is collected, none is used, analyzed, or sold. Tuning, chord playback, the camera scanner, lessons, and the metronome all run entirely on-device using your phone's own microphone, camera, and processor.
Data Storage
Saved tab photos, custom tuning presets, and practice annotations are stored locally in the app's own storage. There is no cloud backend for user content and nothing is uploaded or synced externally.
Third-Party Services
Chicord Sound includes no third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. There is no outside service embedded in the app to observe how you use it.
Data Security
Since nothing you do inside the app is transmitted anywhere, there's no remote database to secure. Your saved chord sheets and settings rely on the same protections your device already provides for local app data.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data collection occurs for any user, Chicord Sound is compliant with the spirit of COPPA by design.
Your Control
You're always in full control of your content. There are no accounts or cloud backups to manage — to remove your data, delete saved photos and notes in-app, or uninstall Chicord Sound to remove everything at once.
Changes to This Policy
We may occasionally update this policy to reflect new features or clarify existing practices. Any changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
